The "Continuous Distillation Apparatus (Three-Component System)" requires at least two columns for the separation of binary systems with azeotropic points, such as ethanol-water and IPA-water. In this process, the first column concentrates the mixture close to the reference point composition, and in the second column, an entrainer such as benzene is added to perform dehydration distillation through three-component azeotropy.
