It can be washed and reused multiple times. It has undergone silicone processing (see below for details). *What is silicone processing? The fibers of the chamois leather are extremely fine, allowing them to provide a soft and powerful wiping effect when tanned. However, this makes it difficult to use as they cling tightly to the surface being wiped. By adding silicone, it allows for smooth wiping while still maintaining adhesion. Additionally, since the silicone penetrates each individual fiber of the chamois leather, its effectiveness is not lost even when washed with water.
