Proposal for a butterfly valve for the water supply of the ion exchange demineralization system.
"Ion exchange" is a method of treating drinking water that partially deionizes it by passing it through layers of various ion exchange resins. Groundwater can contain high levels of alkaline earth ions, carbonates, and sulfate ions depending on the location. Hard water is a significant issue not only for households but also for trade and industry, and it is necessary to remove the salts that cause hardness from drinking water. Deionization can reduce nitrates, sulfates, bicarbonates (HCO3-), and the calcium and magnesium that cause hard water.
