Presentation of a case study collection on motion capture systems (three-dimensional motion measurement systems).
NaturalPoint's OptiTrack from the United States, and Synertial Labs' Cobra Gloves from the United Kingdom.
With OptiTrack, which can measure with an accuracy of less than 1mm, and the Cobra Gloves equipped with IMU sensors, measurement is possible down to the fingertips!
The optical motion capture system 'OptiTrack' allows anyone to easily measure three-dimensional motion with an accuracy of less than 1mm. It is used in a wide range of fields, including human measurement, measurement and real-time control of drones and robotic arms, and the VR sector. By combining it with the motion capture gloves 'Cobra Gloves', even more precise measurements can be achieved. Traditionally, measuring finger movements without any omissions requires a large number of cameras, and when fingers are clenched, the reflective markers at the tips are hidden. However, 'Cobra Gloves' use IMU sensors, allowing for a system that does not rely on external sensors, thus obtaining clean data without omissions. It is also possible to work while looking at your own fingers in a VR space in conjunction with a head-mounted display, or to control a robotic arm. *In addition to product materials, case studies are also available for download. Detailed information

To measure the three-dimensional position with OptiTrack and the finger movements with Cobra gloves using optical motion capture without any loss, a very large number of cameras are required, and when the fingers are closed, the reflective markers at the tips of the fingers are hidden. On the other hand, Cobra Gloves use IMU sensors and operate without external sensors, allowing for the acquisition of clean data without any loss. This hybrid system accurately captures the position of the hand with cameras and the movements of the fingers with IMU sensors.

Screen of the dedicated software SynDash It has many functions such as data recording, take management, data editing, and data output. Modification and adjustment of the skeleton's kinematic structure Adjustment of the data interpolation rate for finger bones without sensors Change and adjustment of the calibration pose Synchronization with Vicon/OptiTrack Creation of skeleton structures for non-human entities Setting of short-axis extrapolation Editing of the skeleton after capture Provision of SDK with samples
-
KinexactHand is a software for automatic creation of skeletal models. By placing the subject's hand on the scanner and scanning it, a skeletal model of the fingers is automatically generated.
-
7 Sensor Type Sensor Installation Position Segments without sensors will interpolate data from segments with sensors. The degree of interpolation can be adjusted by the user.
-
13 sensor type sensor mounting position Sensors are attached to segments of fingers other than the index, middle, ring, and little fingers, allowing for very natural and delicate finger movements, finger bending, and the arch of the back of the hand to be captured.
-
16 sensor type sensor mounting position Sensors are attached to the segments of all fingers except the little finger, allowing for very natural and delicate finger movements, finger bending, and the arch of the back of the hand to be captured.

In 1999, after about 20 years of using motion capture systems as users, we have sold numerous motion capture systems. What is common among the products we handle is that they are "products we want to use as users." We have carefully selected products that genuinely pursue "quality" and "time-saving." We have been able to assist a wide range of customers, from automotive and machinery manufacturers to schools, government agencies, and game companies. Moving forward, we will continue to incorporate new technologies and pursue further possibilities in motion capture.
