White Paper Presentation: "Current Issues and Improvement Methods for Corrosion-Resistant Packaging"
A useful book for selecting desiccants and rust inhibitors necessary for the storage and transportation of metals! This technical document summarizes the characteristics and issues of desiccants and volatile rust inhibitors.
Many metal products, including steel, face issues such as corrosion and discoloration, which has led to various packaging methods for storage and transportation. In this context, we developed the rust-proof drying agent VS-PACK, aimed at minimizing losses due to corrosion and enabling a rust-proof packaging design that reduces the likelihood of transportation accidents. The white paper titled "Current Issues and Improvement Methods of Rust-Proof Packaging" is a technical document summarizing the characteristics and issues of drying agents and volatile rust inhibitors used as packaging methods during the transportation of metal products. [White Paper Overview] ■ Background of VS-PACK Development ■ Rust-Proof Packaging Using Drying Agents and Its Issues ■ Rust-Proof Packaging Using Volatile Rust Inhibitors and Its Issues ■ Moisture Absorption Performance Verification Test ■ Rust-Proof Performance Verification Test ■ Test Results ■ Discussion and Conclusion *Please download the white paper using the "PDF Download" button. *You can also download the catalog regarding our developed VS-PACK for further reference.

basic information
【Features of VS-PACK】 - A product that combines a multi-compatible volatile corrosion inhibitor (VCI) suitable for both ferrous and non-ferrous metals with a special desiccant (specially processed silica gel by E-PACK Co., Ltd. and our company). - Forms a corrosion-resistant film on metal surfaces, preventing condensation and protecting the corrosion-resistant film by absorbing moisture (humidity) that enters during transportation and storage with the special desiccant. - The volatile corrosion inhibitor (VCI) is selected for its high effectiveness, and its evaporation rate is adjusted to accommodate long-term storage. - The specially processed desiccant made from silica gel is chosen for its greater adsorption capacity compared to those typically used in standard moisture-proof packaging. - Achieves cost reduction through the reduction of usage amounts and the number of processes.

Nihon Chemical Equipment Co., Ltd. has been developing its business with the goals of being pollution-free, resource-saving, and labor-saving since its establishment. Our company started with the belief that using silica gel to eliminate damage to precision instruments, electronic components, and pharmaceuticals through "moisture-proofing and rust-proofing" could save several hundred billion yen worth of resources annually. In addition to silica gel chemical products, we have also ventured into the field of cushioning packaging utilizing recycled "paper." Moving forward, we will continue to challenge ourselves in product development that contributes to society, with the concept of "creating eco-friendly products."
