A GRIN lens is a miniaturized lens that combines excellent optical performance with a uniform optical surface. It is also a lens with very low wavelength dependence. The refractive index distribution within the glass, created by ion exchange, determines the optical power of the GRIN lens. At GRINTECH, our unique "non-toxic silver exchange" technology is used in rod lenses and cylindrical lenses. The standard dimensions of small lenses range from 200µm to 2mm, providing excellent optical performance. The diffraction limit NA (numerical aperture) of a single lens is up to 0.45.
