"Cosmo-K," a PCI-Express and optical-equipped FPGA board, is ideal for building high-speed data measurement and control systems.
"Cosmo-K" is an FPGA evaluation board equipped with PCI Express Gen2 x4 and connectors for optical fiber. It features the latest XILINX FPGA, the Kintex-7 XC7K160T, along with 1GB of DDR3 memory, an optical fiber module, and a USB 3.0 interface. The optical fiber supports a maximum bandwidth of 40Gbps (4GBytes/sec), DDR3 memory has a bandwidth of 6.4GBytes/s, and PCI Express offers 2GBytes/s. It is ideal for applications where data received from the optical fiber is filtered or processed by the FPGA, with the results stored in memory or transferred to a PC. Additionally, this board expands using 2.54mm pitch pin headers instead of mezzanines, allowing users to add user circuits without incurring extra costs. Cosmo-K is available in three variations: K0, K+, and K-.
