Confirm the possibility of changes or malfunctions in the equipment through relative assessment using thermographic diagnosis!
In rotating machinery, comparing with baseline data becomes important. If the operation is under the same conditions as the baseline data, only changes in environmental temperature should be considered, and by comparing values after subtracting the environmental temperature, the temperature changes of the equipment can be confirmed. In cases where there are temperature changes, such as an increase in temperature at the motor CP side bearing, it can be inferred that some change has occurred in the equipment, indicating a possibility of malfunction. 【Relative Judgment Criteria】 * It is recommended to manage according to the following criteria based on empirical rules. ■ Temperature Change Values / Corresponding Actions ・Less than 10℃ / Judged as normal ・10℃ or more but less than 40℃ / Strengthened monitoring, actions such as repairs ・40℃ or more / Actions for repairs The temperature change value is calculated using the following formula: (Baseline temperature - Baseline environmental temperature) - (Measured temperature - Measured environmental temperature) * For more details, please feel free to download the PDF or contact us.

In Japan, non-destructive testing using infrared camera imaging is still not widely recognized. Overseas, qualification systems have already been established, and the training of technicians is progressing. Such technology is particularly needed in Japan, which frequently experiences disasters like earthquakes and typhoons. Dōryokusha will continue its long-term efforts toward the full-scale dissemination of this groundbreaking inspection method.
