The Mechatron MTKK series is a piezo actuator that emphasizes high rigidity and fast response time. Unlike the MTDD and MTD series, the piezo elements in this series do not involve positional movement during the operation of the displacement amplification mechanism, which means that the inertial mass of the piezo elements does not hinder rapid startup motion. The Mechatron MTKK series not only does not involve positional movement of the piezo elements during displacement amplification but also maintains a flat and thin structure. When voltage is applied, this piezo actuator operates in the direction of elongation. "Mechatrans" is a technology that I developed during my time at NEC in the 1980s, successfully realizing the world's first and fastest piezoelectric impact printer at that time. Subsequently, due to the evolution of printer technology, this technology disappeared from the public eye. However, Professor Toshio Higuchi from the University of Tokyo foresaw the potential of this technology, leading to the establishment of today's company.
