A new approach to water purification! Introducing a case study on the research of artificial metallic nanoparticles.
Researchers at Giessen University (Germany) have developed a microplate-based assay to test the effects of metal nanoparticles such as silver, iron, and palladium online. To study the potential of artificial metal nanoparticles in water treatment for suppressing bacterial growth during drinking water use and removing drugs and other trace contaminants from wastewater, they introduced the "Infinite M200 Microplate Reader." The system is very user-friendly, significantly reducing the time spent on repetitive tedious tasks. If needed, it can be combined with fluorescence technology to evaluate cell viability in real-time or an injector module can be added for reagent dispensing.
