A revolutionary method that replaces traditional hammers and upset forging.
"Cross-roll forging" is a method where the upper and lower drum-shaped molds of a forging machine rotate once, shaping the heated material into a shaft shape. It enables automation and allows for the formation of products with an outer diameter of up to φ100 and a total length of 800 mm. The forging yield is good, and processing costs in post-processing can be eliminated, resulting in a shorter cycle time, which provides a cost advantage over traditional forming methods. [Features] - There is no parting line, resulting in good tooth profile accuracy after gear cutting. - Compared to cold-forged products, there is less distortion after carburizing. - Due to the rotational forming, it is possible to shape complex geometries. - The cycle time is fast, allowing for the production of over 100,000 units per line per month (starting from a minimum of 2,000/month). - Forming is possible if the difference between the maximum and minimum diameters (cross-sectional reduction rate) is 85% or less. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
