VHH antibodies derived from camelids have recently attracted attention for their high stability and ease of protein engineering modifications. However, since there are no affinity ligands specific to VHH antibodies, it is mostly the case that tags are added for purification purposes. Meanwhile, it has been reported that Protein A can bind not only to the Fc region of IgG but also to the VH region. Utilizing this characteristic, we examined whether VHH antibodies could be purified using our Protein A resin product, Bipo Resin Protein A (Alkaline Resistance) (Code: AAR-025).
