The "coat" is printed using water-based (flexo) ink. As a result, it is environmentally superior compared to gravure printing using solvent inks and offset printing using oil-based inks. Since it uses paper made from totally chlorine-free (TCF) pulp, the environmental impact from chlorine is zero.
