Does dq-axis interference affect motor operation? As a standalone motor, it has characteristics that can be considered its individuality, generating torque in response to applied three-phase voltage and operating accordingly. Rather, the issue lies in how to determine the parameters of the control circuit that commands the operation. Generally, IPMSMs are controlled with d-axis and q-axis inductance and magnetic flux as constants in the dq-axis coordinate system. In cases like the D1 model, where there is a strong dependence on current and current phase angle, it may be challenging to decide which current value and current phase angle to use as control parameters. Care is needed when trying to operate efficiently or to control in a way that prevents irreversible demagnetization of the permanent magnets.
