Excellent corrosion resistance and stability in the atmosphere, making it suitable for decorative exterior parts.
As an indispensable surface treatment in our surroundings, "decorative chrome plating" is used in various fields, including residential materials such as precision machinery and various faucet fittings, household goods, and automobiles. Decorative chrome plating involves first applying a relatively thick layer of copper and nickel plating, followed by a thin layer of chrome plating of about 0.3μm on the surface. Our company has established a production system with a fully automated line that boasts one of the leading capabilities in decorative chrome plating in Japan. We accurately reproduce the craftsmanship cultivated over many years with high-level production equipment. 【Features】 ■ Beautiful luster ■ Excellent corrosion resistance ■ Stability ■ Long-lasting beautiful appearance ■ Decorative use for exterior parts *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

basic information
【Specifications and Characteristics】 ■Coating Composition and Thickness - Base layer Cu+Ni plating approximately 5 to 15 μm, Cr plating approximately 0.3 μm (The thickness of the base plating is determined by agreement between the parties.) ■Hardness - Measurement is not possible due to the thin film, but it has hardness comparable to hard chrome plating. ■Wear Resistance - Excellent due to the metallic chromium coating. ■Appearance Gloss - Very excellent. A mirror-like, high-gloss finish can be achieved by buff polishing the base material. A matte finish can be achieved by applying a matte (blast) treatment to the base material. ■Corrosion and Weather Resistance - Very excellent as it forms a passive film by combining with oxygen in the atmosphere. ■RoHS Compliance - Although hexavalent chromium compounds are used as components in the plating solution during the process, the plating film is metallic chromium (zero-valent), so the processed items do not violate the RoHS directive. (The processed items are thoroughly rinsed with ion-exchanged water for final cleaning.) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Surface treatment technologies, including plating, have continuously advanced and developed as familiar technologies in our daily lives. It is said that gold plating was applied to ancient decorative items, including the Great Buddha of Todai-ji in Nara. The pure desire to adorn objects more beautifully and to maintain that beauty forever has remained unchanged from ancient times to the present. Moreover, modern surface treatment technologies are not limited to purposes such as decoration and rust prevention; they are applied in various industrial uses. For example, many needs, such as wanting to harden the surface of a product, enhance conductivity, or reduce friction coefficients, can be achieved relatively cost-effectively through surface treatment technologies primarily based on plating. Since its establishment, Eputec Co., Ltd. has responded to various surface treatment needs of the times, consistently pursuing technological and production innovation. The key phrase is "Innovation for Tomorrow." Eputec Co., Ltd. will continue to respond to increasingly sophisticated and diversified needs and contribute to society as a "value-creating company" through surface treatment technologies that pave the way for tomorrow.
