Effective in "wear prevention and slip resistance improvement" across many industries.
The new Kanak processing is a composite treatment that combines Kanak processing and shot peening treatment, adding high residual compressive stress to the surface. The surface achieves higher hardness due to the peening effect compared to Kanak processing. 【Features】 ■ Excellent resistance to heat cracking ■ Welding operations can be performed without issues ■ Repeat processing is possible without compromising toughness ■ Composite processing with other treatments is possible *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Kanak processing is a gas nitriding treatment using a unique method. The material is held in a heating atmosphere of around 500°C for several hours, allowing nitrogen to diffuse from the surface of the steel and react with metal elements to form a hardened layer. Unlike conventional nitriding treatments, there are very few brittle iron nitride compounds near the surface, and the high compressive residual stress along with a smooth hardness distribution are characteristics of Kanak processing.
