This is an FPC connector with a 0.3 mm pitch. The mounting height is 0.9 mm (max. 1.0 mm). It achieves a high FPC holding force with a locking mechanism in the notch of the FPC and inside the connector. Despite its height of 0.9 mm, it supports FPCs with a thickness of 0.2 mm. The top and bottom contact structure allows it to be used in a wide range of products.

Before FPC mating The locking mechanism of the connector and the notch of the FPC achieve a high FPC retention force. MINIFLEX 3-BFN-LK (Long Actuator type) is designed to be gentle on open mating. Open mating refers to the state where the actuator is tilted without setting the FPC. In general, FPC connectors with a back-lock mechanism can deform the contacts when open mating occurs, which may significantly affect the insertion and mating of the FPC.

After FPC mating, the unique actuator shape concentrates the necessary force at the center during the locking process, assisting in secure locking (mating operation).
