Toho Annealing began operations in January 1967 as a manufacturer of annealing processing for general mild steel wire materials. Subsequently, during Japan's period of rapid economic growth, there was a demand for materials used in high-strength construction materials and automotive parts, which led to the desire to soften the steel to make it easier to process without changing the designed steel composition. We developed unique atmosphere control technology and heat patterns to prevent decarburization and carburization during heat treatment while softening the steel. Additionally, as an extension of this, we started heat treatment for special steels and press-forged products, and we are currently also conducting heat treatment for some non-metal materials. There are various types of annealing depending on the application, such as "full annealing," "spheroidizing annealing," and "stress relief annealing."
