Introducing three case studies of micro components and problem-solving in the dental and medical fields!
This is an introduction to "Micro Components and Problem-Solving Examples" in the dental and medical fields. In the case of "manufacturing a device to secure a patient's arm," we proposed everything from material selection to the manufacturing process. The client consulted us about issues with the current device, stating that the material was too hard and difficult to bend, and that bending it caused the surface treatment to peel off or crack. Additionally, there were requests to make it "soft and easy to bend" since it would also be used by women. We engaged from the material selection stage and utilized our know-how in hardening and finishing to solve the issues. 【Case Study 1】 ■ Manufacturing a device to secure a patient's arm ◎ Proposal from material selection to the manufacturing process <Issues> ・The current device is made of a hard material that is difficult to bend. ・Bending it causes the surface treatment to peel off or crack. <Requests> ・Since it will also be used by women, we want it to be soft and easy to bend. ・We also want to pay attention to its appearance. <Solution> ・We were involved from material selection to hardening and finishing, utilizing our know-how for production. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

【Case Study 2】 ■Prototype project with a medical device manufacturer (prototype of "forceps") ◎Solving issues during assembly manufacturing in the process <Challenges> - The actual precision cannot be achieved as expected regarding dimensions and tolerances. - Uncertainty about what values to input. <Solution> - Designed and manufactured cutting tools based on the number of teeth gripping the affected area of the forceps and the type of object being gripped. - For components with three or more parts, checked the fit of the teeth while combining them to clear the challenges. 【Case Study 3】 ■Original prototype of the end part of an endoscope ◎Achieving a consistent process for laser welding in the production of extremely small parts <Solution> - Processed four types of parts with diameters of φ1 to φ2, connected them with wire at a unique precision, and collaborated with a spring manufacturing company to resolve the challenges of smooth movement after assembly post-processing. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
