I would like to introduce information about how CAE and CFD are beneficial to society, including interesting application cases, primarily through articles from the information magazine "ADVANTAGE" published by ANSYS, Inc. and ANSYS Japan Co., Ltd. This time, I will share the story of Nebia's innovative showerhead development. This revolutionary showerhead boasts a 70% water-saving effect compared to conventional showerheads and was launched in Japan in 2016, so some of you may already be familiar with it. ANSYS Fluent's CFD technology was fully utilized in the development of this innovative showerhead. A fitness club owner was troubled by high water bills ↓ They created a prototype of a fine mist spray showerhead ↓ It was difficult to solve the problem of the spray particles being too fine (the droplet surface area was too large), causing the hot water temperature to cool down quickly ↓ They decided to implement ANSYS Fluent ↓ A vast parameter study was conducted, and a research project that was expected to take nine months was completed in just one month ↓ Launched into the global market in the summer of 2016
