Introduction of the case where our vibration-damping suspension technology was adopted for the Hayabusa project recovery box.
The technology of our vibration-damping suspension was adopted to safely transport the "Hayabusa" capsule, which has returned to Earth, without any impact. In September 2008, we received contact from the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) Space Science and Exploration Program Group. In the preliminary prototype stage, we aimed to keep vibrations during transport below 1.5G. The capsule was to be transported across the Australian continent by vehicle (jeep) and then flown to Japan. We considered specifications from scratch, repeatedly measuring vibration data and making design changes for improvements. Our vibration-damping suspension has now reached its 10th year since development, and we are very pleased to have contributed to JAXA's project.
