The "TCP-D551" is a compact UHF digital simple radio manufactured by Kenwood, designed to be lightweight, thin, small, and easy to use, with performance that makes a difference in daily operations. It meets 11 items of the U.S. Department of Defense military standard MIL-STD. Additionally, it has dust and immersion protection equivalent to IP67. It protects the radio from dust and submersion, and is also designed to withstand water pressure from sudden bad weather, complying with the splash-proof design of IP55. Its performance is maintained even when an optional speaker microphone is attached. Moreover, it features easy operation with four keys, allowing for various function settings. The LCD screen supports kanji and displays the channel number in large font with four characters.
