The "POLY-SD Score Type Disk" has a thickness more than three times that of a standard tensile type disk, with pre-scored grooves on the atmospheric side of the plate. The depth of these grooves controls the burst pressure, which is set accordingly. As a result, it offers a long lifespan and consistently stable burst pressure, making it a rupture disk developed by Faik for process protection, particularly in polymerization processes.
