Durability that withstands high-temperature and sulfate springs for geothermal power generation construction in hot spring areas! Development of pumps that also feature high quietness.
This is an introduction to a case study on the development of a stainless steel spiral pump. In a hot spring area in Kyushu, the construction of a geothermal power plant (binary power generation) was underway. The pumps used here needed to be durable enough to withstand high temperatures and sulfate springs. Additionally, there were many accommodations and residences in the vicinity, so high quietness was also required for the equipment used. Therefore, the pump was manufactured using SUS316, which is resistant to corrosion and durable. Furthermore, at the time of delivery, noise tests (dB) and octave band analysis were conducted, and only those that met the noise standards were used. [Case Study] ■ Client's Requests and Challenges - Due to the construction of a geothermal power plant (binary power generation) in a hot spring area, durability to withstand high temperatures and sulfate springs was necessary. - Since there were many accommodations and residences nearby, high quietness was desired. ■ Proposal - Use of SUS316 material, which is resistant to corrosion and durable. - Conduct noise tests (dB) and octave band analysis at the time of delivery to meet noise standards. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
