Case Study 1: "I don't know the appropriate heat treatment method for machining parts."
We would like to introduce a case study of metal heat treatment proposed by our company. The inquiry was about wanting to perform annealing under conditions where there is no ferrite band and no bainite formation for the machining of carburizing parts. For cold forging, we perform spheroidizing annealing to soften the material as much as possible, but for machining, we set heat treatment conditions that achieve a microstructure of ferrite and pearlite with appropriate hardness. Therefore, our company established and implemented heat treatment conditions that satisfy the microstructure and hardness by controlling the cooling rates in the high-temperature range that generates ferrite bands and the medium-temperature range that generates bainite. [Case Study] ■ Issue Annealing under conditions without ferrite bands and without bainite formation ■ Response Setting heat treatment conditions that satisfy the microstructure and hardness *For more details, please feel free to contact us.
