Formation of plateau-structured surfaces using precision shot peening and polishing treatment technology.
Achieve both "increased fatigue strength" and "low friction characteristics" simultaneously with a unique plateau structure! Easily formable into complex shapes! Mirror finish is also possible.
Through the micro-particle precision shot peening "OX-FSP" and the oxo special polishing process "OX-Polish," it is possible to simultaneously achieve "fatigue strength enhancement" and "low friction characteristics," enabling the formation of OXO's unique plateau structure (special dimples). Typically, plateau structures formed by machining allow oil to escape along cutting marks during sliding. However, by forming tiny depressions through "OX-FSP treatment" and polishing the protruding parts with "OX-Polish," we create oil reservoirs and produce a surface with excellent oil film retention. Additionally, the surface exhibits high hardness, high compressive stress, and low friction properties. The change from surface resistance to point resistance also contributes to friction reduction. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
