EyeTech, developed by ambivalue (Netherlands), which has sold over 2,000 particle analysis devices worldwide, measures individual particle sizes and shapes quickly and accurately. This device is equipped with two measurement methods: scanning laser and camera, allowing for the evaluation of particle diameter, concentration, and shape for each individual particle. The diameter is measured based on the time the particle obstructs the scanning laser, while the particle shape is obtained from real-time analysis of images captured by the camera. Since both measurement methods accurately assess individual particles, they provide correct statistical information about the particles. A wide variety of measurement cells are available, enabling the analysis of diverse samples such as suspensions, dry powders, emulsions, and aerosols. For example, samples containing numerous unknown particles, like muddy water, can also be evaluated. The high-performance software allows anyone to easily conduct measurements, and the automatic report generation feature produces organized reports with measurement data and particle images immediately. No adjustments or calibrations of the device are necessary. It can be used in a wide range of fields, including quality control, product development, and environmental analysis.
