Compact frame waterproof speaker with IP67 rating.
CUI's audio group announced today the addition of a waterproof micro speaker model with an IP67 rating for ingress protection (IP) to CUI's product family. The waterproof speaker, housed in a compact package measuring just 15x11mm and only 2.5mm thick, is ideal for handheld electronic devices that are susceptible to the effects of water droplets and environmental contaminants in industrial and outdoor applications. These rectangular frame models provide a sound pressure level (SPL) of 90–93dB at 0.1m, a nominal input of 0.7W, a resonance frequency of 550–800Hz, and an impedance of 6 or 8 ohms. Additionally, all series offer spring contacts, solder pads, and lead wire mounting styles, and are constructed with neodymium magnets and Mylar cones for enhanced durability.
