We would like to introduce a case study from Seirin Corporation, which performs straight processing and tip processing of ultra-fine metal wires, focusing on "lancet-shaped tip processing." The tips of the acupuncture needles we manufacture have an original shape known as the "improved pine leaf shape," which mimics the shape of pine needles. Recently, we received a request from an overseas customer to prototype a needle processed into a lancet shape using wire instead of a tube. We processed a φ0.35 straight wire into a lancet shape.
