The "Paint Checker Series" measures coating thickness using a non-contact, non-destructive method, and is capable of measuring not only flat surfaces but also curved surfaces and small uneven areas. It can be used on various substrates, including metals (both magnetic and non-magnetic), magnets, ceramics, wood, and others (some plastics, rubber, and glass are also possible), with coatings such as solvent-based paints, water-based paints, powder coatings, fluorine, Teflon coatings, and enamel being applicable. It is an excellent coating thickness gauge that can also measure the difference in thickness before and after drying. Currently, in many painting processes, coating thickness is not measured before drying, and products coming out of the drying process are measured with contact-type thickness gauges, resulting in a significant number of non-compliant products and substantial losses. By capturing the trend of coating thickness while the coating agent or paint is still wet before the drying process with this product, it is possible to significantly reduce the occurrence of defective products without sending them to the drying oven.
