Application 3: Short-term measurement of methane potential (BMP) in biogas production using near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS).
This application note demonstrates that by using near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) with the DS2500 analyzer from Metrohm and the calibration model FlashBMP (from Ondalys), the analysis time for methane production potential (BMP) of various substrates obtained from anaerobic fermentation can be shortened, thereby improving efficiency. In contrast to conventional analytical methods, near-infrared analyzers (NIRS) can analyze BMP values within minutes, making it an analytical technique for optimizing the methane fermentation process. 【Fuel, Energy, Biofuels】
