Yamazaki Corporation handles "pins and keys" that can be used for positioning during equipment assembly and preventing parts from falling off. A cotter pin is a pin used to prevent parts from falling off; after inserting it into the hole of a part, the ends are bent on both sides to secure it in place. Parallel pins and taper pins are used for positioning in machinery. Keys are used to prevent slippage between a shaft and a gear fitted onto it.
