We would like to introduce a case study of the "Smart Eco Grill." By using shape memory alloy springs, this eco-friendly system operates semi-permanently without the need for motors or wiring, requiring only simple maintenance. In hybrid cars, if the engine compartment gets too cold in winter, the engine may start for heating, which can lead to decreased fuel efficiency. This product fully opens and closes according to the temperature inside the engine compartment, regulating the amount of outside air intake to prevent over-cooling, reduce unnecessary engine operation, and contribute to improved fuel efficiency. Additionally, this product is a collaborative development between AMS Co., Ltd. and Nagoya University.
