Futaba Manufacturing's piston-type air motor does not require a power supply, making it suitable for wet environments. In rock drilling machines used in tunnel construction and civil engineering, a wet type that flushes rock dust with water is commonly used. While there is a risk of the motor getting wet due to the large amounts of water, our air motor can operate safely even when wet. Out of the four or five cylinders arranged in a star shape, two are always in the power stroke, and since there is no dead point in the crank, it achieves balanced rotational force with minimal vibration, resulting in smooth and stable rotation.
