Why is self-consumption increasing instead of selling electricity?

With the introduction of self-consumption models, we have entered an era where electricity is generated and used by the company itself.

The purchase price under the Fixed Price Purchase System (FIT system) has decreased by 55% compared to when the system was first introduced. In contrast, self-consumption systems have improved in cost performance, leading to increased adoption. Additionally, self-consumption systems can generate and consume electricity without being affected by the circumstances of power companies or the power grid, so there is no impact from output suppression. Furthermore, regarding the issue of rising electricity prices, when comparing electricity rates from 2010 and 2017, corporate electricity rates have increased by about 30% on average nationwide.
