basic information
The IK-12NEXT is a cutting and welding cart that has evolved the long-selling cutting cart "IK-12max3" into a more advanced model. In addition to conventional gas cutting, it incorporates an arc linkage function, allowing it to be used for plasma cutting and welding by changing the torch set. The control method for the drive motor has been significantly improved, achieving a wide range of speeds that can accommodate both thick and thin materials with a single unit. It features a "creep function" (patented technology) that allows for instant switching to low-speed operation with a button press, reducing the risk of leaving uncut edges when cutting thick materials. When combined with the weaving unit "WU-3R," it demonstrates exceptional performance in butt welding of thick materials. The weaving control function is built into the IK-12NEXT itself, eliminating the need for an additional control box.
Applications/Examples of results
The IK-12NEXT enables high-quality gas cutting when combined with conventional gas cutting torch sets. The IK-12NEXT has built-in arc control functions, making it easy to apply for plasma cutting. The IK-12NEXT can also be used for plasma welding.
Company information
Since its founding in 1918 (Taisho 7), Koike has served as an opinion leader in machine tools utilizing "gas energy," contributing to the development of key industries. During this time, in line with the progress of the era, we have developed cutting machines utilizing "plasma" and "laser" ahead of others, and have commercialized advanced automated systems using NC technology. At the same time, we have established a comprehensive total system to meet all customer needs, ranging from "gas, welding, and cutting to related equipment."
