The SX-590 is a compact intelligent wireless LAN module designed for embedded use, capable of outdoor use and compliant with industrial temperature standards, which connects devices with serial or Ethernet interfaces to wired and wireless LANs. By combining a wireless LAN module that supports the IEEE 802.11ac standard with a CPU board equipped with a high-performance, low-power processor, it completes wireless LAN driver, security supplicant, and TCP/IP communication processing internally within the module. This reduces the host CPU resource load required for network communication, allowing for a reduction in system costs, while also significantly decreasing the software development effort, including the embedded development of the wireless LAN driver, thereby optimizing the total investment amount for the project. The SX-590 has the same shape, size, and pin compatibility as our conventional series products that support IEEE 802.11bgn/abgn, making it easy to transition to the IEEE 802.11ac wireless LAN standard.
