Here is an example of applying the SDC type solenoid to tape and card punching. The SDC type solenoid is designed for good responsiveness and long life. The diagram shows the unexcited state, and by exciting the solenoid, the solenoid shaft moves in the direction of the arrow, punching the tape or card. When the excitation is released, it returns due to the return spring.
