An example of applying SDC type PL (cylindrical) solenoid to the unlocking device of an automobile trunk.
Automotive solenoids are required to be compact and withstand harsh conditions. The diagram shows a cylindrical solenoid in an unenergized state. When locking, the entire area within the dotted line is pressed down, and the hook engages with the fixed bracket to secure the lock. To unlock, the solenoid is energized from inside the vehicle or elsewhere. When energized, the lever is pulled, and the hook moves in a circular motion, disengaging the hook tip from the fixed bracket, while the entire area within the dotted line is lifted, unlocking the mechanism. By de-energizing, the hook returns to its original position due to the force of the spring. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
