It is a sheath thermocouple. There are lead type (T-35), open terminal type (T-70), and sealed terminal type (T-90). It is also called a thermocouple temperature sensor.
This is a thermocouple from Sanko Co., Ltd. 【Basic Specifications】 ■ Sheath Material: SUS316 ■ Thermocouple Type: Type K ■ Thermal Junction: Ungrounded There are sheath thermocouples with sleeves (with compensation wires), open terminal sheath thermocouples, and sealed terminal sheath thermocouples, among others. The outer diameters of the sheath thermocouples are φ0.5, φ1.0, φ1.6, φ2.3, φ3.2, φ4.8, φ6.4, and φ8.0. The basic material for the sheath thermocouples is SUS316, but Inconel and Nichrome are also available depending on the diameter. In addition to Type K, there are also types T, J, E, R, etc. The thermal junction at the tip of the sheath thermocouple can be either ungrounded or grounded. Standard products are manufactured at our factory in Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture, but we also have a track record of producing mass-produced items in Thailand and Vietnam if you want to reduce costs.

basic information
〇 Principle of Thermocouples A thermocouple consists of two types of metal wires, A and B, which are homogeneous but have different properties. When they are joined and one end is heated, a temperature difference is created between the measuring junction and the reference junction, resulting in the generation of a thermoelectric voltage specific to the metals, causing a current to flow in a certain direction. This phenomenon is known as the Seebeck effect, named after its discoverer. By utilizing this principle of thermocouples, one can measure temperature by connecting a millivolt meter between the two terminals created by opening one of the junctions and measuring the thermoelectric voltage. 〇 Types of Thermocouples K Thermocouple: The most widely used thermocouple in industrial applications. It is suitable for use in oxidizing atmospheres but is weak in reducing atmospheres. T Thermocouple: Exhibits good characteristics at low temperatures. Suitable for both oxidizing and reducing atmospheres, with stable thermoelectric voltage below 200°C. J Thermocouple: Suitable for reducing atmospheres, but iron oxidizes in oxidizing atmospheres. E Thermocouple: Has the highest electromotive force among standardized thermocouples and is more corrosion-resistant than J. N Thermocouple: Developed as a substitute for K thermocouples, it outperforms K thermocouples in high-temperature ranges. B.R.S Thermocouple: Can withstand temperatures of 1600-1700°C but is weak against metallic gases.

Applications/Examples of results
Thermocouples are used in various applications. They are temperature sensors utilized in molds, machine tools, incinerators, painting equipment, and machinery, among others. In addition to the above-mentioned sheath type series, there are also series with metal protective tubes and types with ceramic protective tubes. Some mass-produced items are manufactured in Thailand and Vietnam. Thermocouples are used as various industrial thermometers.
