This document explains the "lifetime of bearings." Even when rolling bearings are used correctly for a specific application, after a certain period of time, they may become unusable due to increased noise and vibration, decreased accuracy from wear, degradation of the lubricating grease, and fatigue of the rolling surfaces. The period until they become unusable is referred to as the broad definition of bearing lifetime, which includes terms such as acoustic lifetime, wear lifetime, grease lifetime, and rolling fatigue lifetime. Additionally, the basic dynamic load rating of bearings and fatigue lifetime are also explained using calculation formulas.
