Due to differences in the locations, they are divided into three each, resulting in a total of 12 meridians.
I will introduce the "Twelve Meridians." The Twelve Meridians are the main components of the meridian system, and as the name suggests, they are a collective term for the twelve meridians. They are positioned symmetrically on both sides of the human body, running along the inner and outer sides of the upper and lower limbs, with each one corresponding to a specific "organ" or "viscera." Each meridian corresponds to one organ and one viscera, connecting pairs of organs and viscera that are complementary (such as spleen and stomach, liver and gallbladder, kidney and bladder, heart and small intestine, lung and large intestine). They serve as the main pathways for the circulation of qi and blood. The "Middle Jiao" (which belongs to the San Jiao, the "three burners" associated with the five organs and six viscera) receives the "essence of food and water" from the "spleen and stomach" and transports it to the "lungs." The qi and blood generated from the "clear qi" inhaled by the lungs are then distributed throughout the body via the aforementioned circulation pathways. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.*
