The other day, a mold manufacturer mentioned that they are currently using SK and SKD with jigs between the molds and their machines, but the heat treatment costs for SK and SKD are high, and there are issues with distortion. I suggested they try HARDOX 600, and they expressed interest in using it. HARDOX 600 excels in wear resistance, and there are a total of four types: HARDOX 500, 450, 400, and 600. The thickness starts from 3.2 mm. It can be processed in various ways, including bending, tapping, drilling, countersinking, and milling, so why not give it a try?
