It started in 1907 as Iwata Shokai Co., Ltd., and after the war in 1950, Yoshida Shokai Co., Ltd. resumed the import and sale of industrial knitting needles and sewing machine needles from the German company Groz-Beckert. After a capital alliance, in 1987, the company changed its name to Groz-Beckert Japan from its subsidiary.
