basic information
This device is a general-purpose digital input/output unit with an Ethernet interface, equipped with 40-bit input/output ports. These 40 bits can be configured by the user to be used as input or output ports in 8-bit or 16-bit units. The device allows the selection of the following functions through DIP switch settings: ◎ Server mode: By reading/writing data from these input/output ports via LAN from a host computer, it can control and monitor devices (user circuits) connected on the terminal side. ◎ Peer mode: By using two of these devices and configuring their IP addresses, the signal status (ON/OFF) of the input ports can be transmitted and reflected on the output ports of the other device. Handshaking can be performed to transfer multiple data bytes serially to the user circuit on the terminal side. (788A mode)

Applications/Examples of results
☆Server Mode Host computer: You can control the output port on the terminal side of the UIO-5144ENB and read signals connected to the input port. (Refer to the "Command Manual" for commands) UIO-5144ENB: It reads from the input port and outputs to the output port according to commands from the computer. Input and output of the ports are performed using a 3-bit "Input/Output Selection Signal." ☆Counter Mode (This mode requires two units of this device) UIO-5144ENB (A/B): To send signals input to the port set for input to another UIO-5144ENB (B/A), enable the client function using DIPSW. At that time, select the transmission interval. To output signals transmitted from another UIO-5144ENB (B/A) to the port set for output, enable the server function.
