An "amorphous core" refers to a core made of a non-crystalline material called "amorphous alloy," which is an important component of transformers. The arrangement of atoms in amorphous alloys has a random structure without regularity, resulting in minimal energy loss (hysteresis loss) when magnetic flux passes through the core. Additionally, the thickness of the core is about 25 microns, which is 1/10 that of silicon steel sheets, thereby reducing eddy currents.
