Save wandering elderly people!! Uraraka GPS Walk Z (Lace-up type)
To prevent wandering behavior and missing persons due to dementia, which has become a social issue, we have developed GPS Walk in collaboration with NTT Docomo, incorporating GPS devices. A small GPS device is embedded in the sole of the shoe, allowing for easy location tracking of the individual and monitoring of wandering behavior. Initially, the shoes could only accommodate GPS devices manufactured by NTT Docomo, but after several improvements and generalization, they can now incorporate the world-standard tracking GPS, the LoRa beacon developed by Off Line Inc. (currently in demonstration testing), and the GPSBoT from Bsize (currently in demonstration testing). OEM support is also available, and we can collaborate with device development companies to propose and manufacture ways to integrate the devices.

I started my business with the desire to manufacture shoes that are easy to wear and easy to put on for the elderly. My father was a shoe manufacturer in Kobe, and his factory collapsed during the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake. Since I have also lived my life in the shoe industry, I wanted to give back by creating the shoes I wished my father could wear. Additionally, I have obtained the Kobe Social Business Mark, acknowledging that profit is not our primary objective. Regarding the GPS-enabled shoes, "Uraraka GPS Walk," we received requests from care facilities that handle our shoes for small GPS devices that could be incorporated into shoes. In response, we developed the GPS-integrated shoes, GPS Walk. Since then, we have made improvements to generalize the shoes to be compatible with various GPS devices, including the world-standard tracking GPS, Trackimo. We are currently conducting demonstration experiments with multiple GPS devices and beacons integrated into the shoes.
