Typically, to check the frequency and strength of radio waves transmitted from wireless communication devices, electric field strength measurements (dBμV/m) are performed. When using a spectrum analyzer (MSA400 series) in combination with our dipole antennas (M401 to M407), the calibration data (antenna gain) is already reflected, allowing for easy electric field strength measurements based on the settings of the spectrum analyzer. However, if you want to perform electric field strength measurements with an antenna you own, you will need to write the calibration data into the spectrum analyzer.
