The Photo Luminescence method is a type of spectroscopic measurement technique that observes the phenomenon where the subject emits light after absorbing photons when illuminated with light or lasers. Photo luminescence imaging devices not only capture photo luminescence images (PL images) with high resolution but also obtain spectral information. This allows for the verification of the positions of crystal defects in semiconductor wafers.
