Regarding viscous fluids! About flow correction for turbine flow meters in the case of liquids!
Design specifications: liquid density 1000 kg/m3, maximum flow rate 2000 L/h. In actual operation, if the liquid density is 1200 kg/m3 and the indicated flow rate is 1000 L/h, there is no need for flow correction since the flow rate unit is volumetric flow rate L/h. A turbine meter is a type of inferred flow meter, so when using volumetric flow rate units, the density of the liquid does not affect the measurement. However, turbine meters are affected by changes in fluid viscosity, so if there are changes in viscosity, flow measurement errors may occur. When measuring liquid flow with a turbine meter, please ensure that there are no changes in the viscosity of the liquid. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
